• For the outgoing repository (or here).
• For the incoming repository (or here), depending on your browser.

If this fails, use these links for outgoing or incoming, and follow these instructions.

If the browser you use is:

• IE (Microsoft's Internet Explorer)

  Click on the refresh icon and a "Login As" window will pop-up:

  1. Select Login anonymously,
  2. In the Password: box, type in you email address,
  3. Then click Login.

• Firefox

  FTP authentification was a known bug. This bug is fixed in Firefox 1.5.

  If you still can access CfA's anon-ftp site, you can try the following:

  1. find your firefox preference file:
     ls ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/prefs.js
  2. add the following two lines:

        user_pref("advanced.mailftp", true);
        user_pref("network.ftp.anonymous_password", "XXX@YYY");
     

     where XXX@YYY is your email address.

• Netscape7/Mozilla

  If you are prompted for a password, type in your email address.

  Otherwise:

  1. Select Edit->Preferences, and then Advanced,
  2. Check "Send this email address as anonymnous FTP password:"
     and type in your email address in the box.
